Winter Weather Advisory - Snow Levels

The National Weather Service updated the Winter Weather Advisory that includes the Deerhorn Valley area this morning.  Might be a good time to stock up so you can avoid the higher elevation roads tomorrow morning.  Expect ice or slush in the higher parts of Deerhorn.  Be safe!

"A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect from 6 pm this evening to 6 am PST Wednesday... 
  • SNOW LEVELS...lowering to 2000 to 2500 feet tonight. Local snow levels less than 2000 feet tonight through early Wednesday in isolated thunderstorms and heavier showers. 
  • SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...locally around 2 inches in the foothills. 
  • TIMING...this evening through early wednesday. 
  • LOCATIONS INCLUDE: Potrero...Santa Ysabel. 
  • WINDS...southwest to west 15 to 25 mph with gusts to 40 mph. 
  • VISIBILITY...locally reduced in snow and blowing snow. 
  • IMPACTS...a winter weather advisory for snow means that periods of snow will cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow covered roads and limited visibility.
