HOW HOT WAS IT? TOO HOT.

How hot was it in Deerhorn today?  We measured almost 110° under the trees this afternoon.  Folks traveling up Honey Springs (on hot asphalt) were consistently reporting temps of 115°.
San Diego Gas and Electric maintains a small weather monitoring station on Sierra Cielo.  Here's their monitoring from today.
Gotta say, I've lived here over 30 years and never experienced such temps, nor have I heard from old-timers anything about conditions like we had today.
Tomorrow may be marginally better.  Reports say winds will die down tonight, humidity will increase, and winds tomorrow will tend to blow back toward the north.  All good for Deerhorn.
And— we didn't lose power today.  3,000 people are currently out, with no estimated time for restoration.
Be safe.  Sleep.  Prepare.
