RED FLAG AND HIGH WIND WARNING THROUGH MONDAY AFTERNOON

SDG&E HAS STARTED TURNING OFF POWER IN EASTERN COMMUNITIES
RED FLAG WARNING and HIGH WINDS WARNING— SDG&E has started turning off power in East County: Southern Alpine, Pine Hills, Pine Valley, Jacumba area circuits with restoration estimated for tomorrow afternoon.
Good idea to make preparation now to be without power. It's all quiet through most of Deerhorn, but humidity levels are expected to drop to single digits in a couple of hours. When windspeed climbs, prepare to lose power.

SDG&E 6:00 AM CONDITIONS FOR DEERHORN:

QUICK PREP LIST:
  • Battery-powered radio with extra batteries. Flashlights.
  • Generator— Extra fuel.  Check to see you know how to use it and it works.
  • Have enough water on hand— especially if power is off.  Fill tubs, trashcans ahead of time.  Top up while there is power.
  • Food for three days.
  • While we have power, monitor TV/radio/internet — Keep eyes and ears on outside conditioins — Don't wait for evacuation orders if you see fire.
  • Animals— what is your plan for them?  If evacuating to shelter, bring crates for dogs/cats. Write cell# on horses, larger animals.

—BE VIGILANT—
REPORT ALL SMOKE IMMEDIATELY TO 911
DISPATCHER WILL TRANSFER YOU TO FIRE DEPT
