MAJOR BRUSH FIRE
DULZURA AREA: MARRON VLY RD & 94

BELOW IS NOT an official map. I put it together with information from residents and CALFIRE. It shows generally where the fire is in relation to Deerhorn, 94, the Gun Club, and Little Tecate Peak.
For the first time I heard they were both "holding" and "releasing" some of the fire equipment. Always a good sign.
Winds are running about 13-15 mph generally from the NNE and East. Gusts to 25 mph. Afternoon heating can change things quickly, though.
One helo went down with loss of hydraulic power, but managed to land safely. And yes, those were a couple of CALFIRE planes that went over in the last hour. They refuel at Ramona Air Station, so their flight path is over us.
