RING THOSE BELLS!
Deerhorn Valley is kicking off its 4th of July Parade by joining the National Bell-Ringing Celebration!
At precisely 2:00 pm, our Parade will commence with a Ringing of the Bells! Marchers, drivers, riders, spectators --- BRING YOUR BELLS! Let's celebrate the first tolling of the Liberty Bell at Independence Hall at 2 PM on the 4th day of July, 1776 proclaiming the signing of the Declaration of Independence.
This tradition started in 1963 when John F Kennedy called for a simultaneous bell ringing in communities across the country. This year scouts, baseball teams, firefighters, workers, and Dear Abby are calling for a renewed celebration.
Our Deerhorn Valley Parade is the kind your grandparents might remember... EVERYONE can join in!
