HEADS' UP
MAJOR CYCLING EVENT TODAY
IMPACTING HONEY SPRINGS & HWY 94
Consider Taking SKYLINE TT To Jamul or RSD

The San Diego Gran Fondo cycling event is taking place today. The 100-mile route includes an elite section called "King/Queen of the Road" that includes the 7-mile grade up Honey Springs Road. These cyclists will be competing for times to the summit.

If you are headed down to Jamul or San Diego, suggest you take Skyline TT. Cyclists will be turning right from Honey Springs onto Lyons Valley Rd at the four-corners intersection.

Cyclists will be coming from Otay Lakes Road, up Honey Springs, then right onto Lyons Valley Rd. They will also use hwy 94 between Honey Springs and Rancho San Diego.

Sorry we didn't get notice until someone reported the signs up on Honey Springs.

Cyclists began the route at 7:15 from Little Italy (downtown SD), so the first cyclists should reach our area about 10-11 am
