WILDLAND FIRE BEHAVIOR WORKSHOP THIS COMING SATURDAY

There are a few spots left in Saturday's Fire Behavior Workshop. If you are new to the community, and/or have never attended the workshop before, this is one of the best ways to become aware of our wildfire situation... by looking at Deerhorn Valley, resident homes, terrain, and the various fire situations we typically experience. Do you know where to go if you're trapped at home? Or the road is impassable? Where are "safer spots" in our community if fire threatens and evacuation isn't possible? Our Fire Safe Council is sponsoring this all-day workshop again, and Eric Williams of SDWISP Internet is providing the complementary breakfast, lunch, and logistics. —
