Our first (brand-new) DV Fire Engine #22 has undergone total restoration and is headed to the new California Fire Museum. And Deerhorn Valley is sending her off with a celebration at the Deerhorn Fire Station. What a great way to say "Thanks" to our our Volunteer Firefighters, Fire Auxiliary, and all who made our permanent fire station a reality. There were 250 households that donated to the Building Fund, and Dianne and Paul Jacob donated the land where stands today. In 1975 it was only a vision and a dream.
This will be great time to visit with neighbors and friends—and say "bon voyage and thank you" to E#22 and the community that made it happen. Lite refreshments provided. (of course—this is Deerhorn!)
