CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER HERE

https://www.facebook.com/US.NationalWeatherService.SanDiego.gov
San Diego NWS predicts CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER for next few days with windy conditions. Keep your scanners on and monitor the fire channels.

If you you see flames or a smoke column and don't know if it has been reported - Call 911 - Your call might keep a small fire, small, AND your description of the location will help get resources there ASAP.

HERE ARE SOURCES FOR INFORMATION
No one source is available with good information all the time. (Volunteers have lives, too.)
This page keeps up with latest fire and emergency information in the San Diego backcountry. It is a Community Facebook Page that has more than 12,000 followers.  Many are SD firefighters, spouses, HAM operators, etc.  You need a FB Account, but you do NOT need to give any personal information except an email address for the account.  You can even get a free email account at mail.google.com to use just for this. This page is run by volunteers, and while all information isn't "official," it is usually the most current available.
